Is there any specific reason for making this journal, you ask? Nothing, really, other than to see what my new journal skin is like. DA is awesome for doing this...though aren't they going to take away our ability to use them soon?

I am still working on a couple of different things, it's just that all of it is coming rather slowly. It is progressing though, but I can't really give a definite timeline for when any of it will be done. I'll try to work faster, but you know i'm not fast at drawing as it is...

Anyhow, i'll try to speed it up and get something out there for you to enjoy, even if it is only a WIP or something...


I went and saw Paranormal Activity the other day...yeah, freaking scary. Since I believe there wasn't much in the way of it being tampered with by the big media, I think I can safely say that it is one of the best indie films of all time. The effects they used were cheap...somewhat, but oh so effective. And while i've heard some people complain about the camera, come on! All of you people complained about the shaky cam on Cloverfield, saying you wished it was a still cam. Now you get a mostly still cam and you wish it had more motion involved?! Wtf, people? Make up your minds or just tell all of the studios to stop being innovative or something if you're just going to complain about it.

Anyway, about the movie. It could be said that it's more of a suspense film than a horror film, since there's nothing really gory or anything like that at all in it. It's just a very well done use of light and shadows and sounds. And I think I gave up on them halfway through the movie. I'm sorry, but these people are morons. The tactics they use to try to find out more about the demon are pointless and they never really look up or do anything to try and STOP the demon, besides the demonologist who can't show up anyways.

That's my only complaint, though I think it was to be some sort of meaning for the movie. You think it up on your own. All in all, it was pretty scary and I hid my face a few times. And, darn, can that woman scream well...spine-chilling, she was that good. Not bad for two people who have never acted before in their life and were making up all of their lines on the spot.
